Zeitgeist 2024- Part 1

Well, we are into the last 2 weeks of 2024 and the year has once again been an eventful one. Every individual would have had an eventful year, but the world got everyone standing in the domain of politics, sports, and technology. 2024 was a comeback to normalcy after long period of economic slowdown in some regions while there was a transition among governments which one had expected form the very beginning of the year. This week, we will cover 3 domains which have always kept the people on their toes.

1. ChatGPT on its rise: ChatGPT continued its rise in the technology sphere challenging the core of Google’s business of search and enhancing its portfolio in the world of Gen AI. IT is increasingly being adopted by enterprises and it seems that sky is the limit for it. There are rumors of potential bankruptcy in the next few years for OpenAI, but only time and the pricing model will tell that.

2. A New Largest Company: This is a new for sure. The tussle would have been Apple and Google. Well, Nvidia is now the largest company in the world and its stock are still on a meteoric rise. This captured everyone’s imagination and made humans realize that there is more to technology than FAANG (or MAANG!!).
