2025 has started with a bang by ushering in the Donald Trump era as he was sworn is as the 47th President of the United States of America. With a new government, new policies are bound to be enforced. Generally, any new government brings in policies that they promised as part of their campaign and try to satisfy the citizens. Donald Trump’s campaign was no different and he has already set the ball rolling by signing multiple executive orders. Among multiple executive orders, one amendment that Donald Trump made was to the American citizenship.

As per the new order, anyone born to Non-American parents in USA is not granted citizenship automatically anymore. This has created furor among the expat population dominated by Indians and Chinese who flock to America in the hope of making it their permanent home. While the process of getting a citizenship is an arduous task and can take zeniths of time, the citizenship provision prior to Trump administration had allowed the individual’s kids to reap the benefits of the American system.

The intent behind this order by Donald Trump is to make America Great again and rightly so, but in the process of this, there is a growing disgruntlement among the population in USA and is leading Indians and other expats to resort to early delivery via C-section to have their babies born before 19th February 2025 when the order kicks…
