The Christmas Adventure

Christmas and New Year vacations are sacred in the land of Europe, and it is worth experiencing the white Christmas to imbibe the vacation spirit within you. Living the vacation spirit of December was something I was really looking forward to. The plan was to rest and discover myself even more. But as they say, expect the unexpected. Experiencing our first winters in Europe, me and my wife decided to think a little bit out of the box and embark on an adventure.

You must be thinking, we went for a hike or some skiing in the Alps. Well, not really, but we ended up embarking on a road trip traversing 4 countries in Europe across 6 days. It was an adventure as we got the opportunity to explore different cultures, geographies, and the wonderful roads of Europe. There can be a lot of things that I can go on and on about the adventure of this Christmas, but I want to point out some observations which amazed me and made me ponder why the same things are not observed in other countries that I have travelled or lived in.

1. Road infrastructure: German Road also known as Autobahn are by far the best roads experienced and the drive there for passionate car drivers like me and my wife was a dream. There were no hiccups (literally 0) in the entire drive and driving at 120 kmph was a new normal without the need to put any pressure on the accelerator. The entire span of 4000+ km across…
