The British Downfall: New Government, New Dawn

Elections are coming in bundles this year. The recently concluded Lok Sabha elections in India certainly spiced up the political sphere in the world. UK elections were meant to do the same and the upcoming US elections could not be more hilarious. Last week, the UK elections ended with a landslide victory for the Labour Party after 14 long years. This was an indication of the slow death that the British parliamentary system was having with the conservatives calling the shots in the past 14 years. The British government had reached a state where they had ended up having 3 prime ministers in a span of 2 years and nothing could be more unstable than the extent of scandals that were exposed in the Boris Johnson era.

This new government may be the beginning of the new dawn, but it is worth checking why a government led by a young leader like Rishi Sunak could not survive the test of times despite bringing initiatives to aid the development of the country.
